Southridge High School: The 2009 season begins Brooke's sixth year as the head coach at Southridge High School. In 2008, 2007, and 2006, the Skyhawks finished 2nd in the Metro league. Six players were selected to 2008 All-Metro teams: Jessica Nguyen, 1st Team Defensive Specialist/Libero; Catie Logan, 1st Team All-Around; Kristine Nguyen, 2nd Team Setter; Kelsee Hall, 2nd Team Defensive Specialist/Libero; Emily Hansen, 3rd Team Hitter/Blocker; Sydney Saunders, 3rd Team Setter. Jessica Nguyen was named the 2008 Metro League Player of the Year and received 2nd Team All-State honors.

Coaching Experience: Brooke coaches the 14&U team for Athena Volleyball Academy (6 years). Past club coaching experience includes assistant coach for the 14&U Smokey Mountain Juniors team (2003), head coach for the 16&U Canby Club team (2002) and head coach for the 18 & Under Forest Grove Club Volleyball team (1996). In 2002, Brooke was the Head Coach at Aloha High School. The team finished second in the Metro League and competed in the 4A Oregon State tournament. Aloha finished 10th in State. Brooke coached at Milwaukie High School from 1999 to 2001 and was named the Three Rivers League 2001 Coach of the Year.

Camps Experience: Brooke is the camp director of the Southridge Volleyball Summer Camps. She ran summer camps at Aloha HS and Milwaukie HS, coached at the University of Tennessee Summer Camps (2003-2004) and Pacific University Summer Camps (1994-1997).

Playing Experience: Brooke received athletic and academic scholarships to Pacific University where she played four years as middle blocker and outside hitter. She received All-Conference honors all four years. In high school (1992), Brooke played at Central Catholic High School . . . the team claimed 2nd place in the 4A Oregon State Tournament. She was selected to the 1992 Oregon State All-Star team. She also played for the Rose City Volleyball Club.

Personal: Brooke teaches Biology and IB Biology at Southridge High School. She continues to play volleyball in Adult CEVA tournaments. When Brooke's not coaching volleyball, she teaches aerobics classes at Bally Total Fitness.

Coaching Experience: In 2009, Emily will begin her fifth year in the program at Southridge High School as the Varsity Assistant Coach. Emily coaches for the 14&U team for Athena Volleyball Academy. She also coached at the Michigan State University Individual (4th - 12 grade) camps, team camps and hitter clinics.

Playing Experience: Emily played four years at Michigan State University as a defensive specialist. Her junior year she led the Big Ten in service aces (top 20 nationally). In high school, Emily played four years on varsity as an outside hitter and received All-State recognition her junior year and 2nd Team All-State recognition her senior year. Emily also played for the Valley Volleyball Club.

Personal: Emily works at Intel as a Packaging Manufacturing Engineer. She was born and raised in Michigan. Hobbies include playing volleyball (with limo.com), golfing and watching movies.

Coaching Experience: In 2009, Krissy will begin her second year as a coach at Southridge High School. She coaches the 13&U team for Athena Volleyball Academy and coached for Storm'n West Volleyball Club in Eugene for 3 years.

Playing Experience: Krissy played volleyball at Lane Community College and Northwest Christian College. She graduated from Southridge High School in 2003 where she played volleyball for 4 years.

Personal: Krissy works at Columbia Empire Farms in the accouting department. In her free time Krissy enjoys spending time with her dog, Vegas. Hobbies include hiking, camping, and swimming.

Coaching Experience: In 2009, Theresa will begin her fifth year as a coach at Southridge High School. She previously volunteered at volleyball summer camps and with junior high school teams and coached for the Southridge Volleyball Middle School and High School Camp.

Playing Experience: Theresa is a graduate of Milwaukie High School and was a member of the Basketball, Bowling, Softball, Track and Volleyball teams. Theresa played high school volleyball for four years and spent two years as a Varsity player and team Captain. Theresa also played for the Canby Volleyball Club under coach Brooke Mayo. The team finished first place in their division at the Davis, CA Volleyball Festival.

Personal: Theresa attends Portland State University.

Coaching Experience: In 2009, Chris will begin her sixth year as the JV coach at Southridge High School. She is the co-director of the Southridge Volleyball Camps. Chris coached for the Athena Volleyball Academy for six years. Playing Experience: Chris received an academic scholarships to Pacific University where she played four years as a setter. She received All-Conference honors her freshman and junior year in college. In high school, Chris played at Canby High School and received First Team All-Pac8 her senior year. She also played for the Canby Volleyball Club. Personal: Chris continues to play volleyball with limo.com. Chris teaches math at Southridge High School. Hobbies include working on her family farm and baking yummy crepes.

Coaching Experience: In 2009, Emily will begin her fifth year as a coach at Southridge High School. In 2003, she coached at the Milwaukie High School middle school camp. Playing Experience: Emily played varsity volleyball for three years at Milwaukie High School. She was also on the golf team at Milwaukie. Emily played for the Canby Volleyball Club under Coach Brooke Mayo. The team finished first place in their division at the Davis, CA Volleyball Festival. Personal: Emily just completed the MAT program at Lewis and Clark University. Her hobbies include shopping and knitting.
